Pointless Culture

It all began with two Harrisons: Harrison Fantasia and Harrison Hinman. They initially crossed paths in 2019 at a small music store where Harrison Fantasia worked in New Hampshire. They immediately bonded over sharing the same first name, but soon discovered that they also shared the same musical aspirations – they both wanted to start a band. It felt like a match made in heaven! They both had a deep passion for the same genre of music and wasted no time; they started jamming in the music store after hours, playing and rehearsing Fantasia's extensive collection of original songs. This partnership lasted for about 2-3 months until life's demands began to interfere. Eventually, they stopped finding the time to make music together and gradually lost touch.

Between the summer of 2019 and the spring of 2022, there were perhaps only one or two instances when they exchanged text messages. In early May of 2022, Fantasia decided to reach out to Hinman, hoping that the same phone number was still valid. Hinman answered, and they immediately resumed their conversation as if no time had passed. They wasted no time getting back into the groove and began jamming once again. However, this time, they found themselves in an unexpected location – the backyard of Fantasia's girlfriend's parents' house. The reason behind this impromptu jam session was Fantasia's invitation to perform at a local music festival. He had been searching for a drummer to back him up, and they only had two weeks to prepare for the show. Luckily, Hinman still remembered some of the music, making the task less daunting. Following their successful performance at the festival, the rest, as they say, is history. They welcomed their longtime friend Nolan Cota on bass and Fantasia's lifelong friend Ben Schultz on lead guitar, and thus, Pointless Culture was formed.
